Mayetta Steier
Corn Dog
Ceramic.

I create functional and sculptural ceramic pieces that speak to the inner child in all of us. My work is inspired by the boundless creativity of childhood, the cartoons and toys I loved, and the joy I found in bright colors and graphic lines. To me, joy and play are sacred. I feel a deep responsibility to cultivate joy through my work—especially in a world filled with grief. My pieces aim to blend silliness with sacredness, creating spaces where joy is both felt and shared.
