My work emerges from a childlike sense of wonder and experimentation. I make colorful quilts, banners, wall pieces, and everyday clothing from found and discarded fabric that challenges oppressive structures and invites the viewer into a world of joy. I welcome others into my textile practice as collaborators, passing pieces between friends and family to generate a response between people through material to see what visual themes emerge. My practice has expanded into new dimensions as I work with new media and collaborate with different artists.
