Dana Oshiro is a San Francisco–based researcher and artist who was born and raised in Steveston, British Columbia. She has studied ikebana flower arrangement for more than a decade and holds a Level 9 Kakyo diploma as an Assistant Professor of Ikenobo, Third Grade. Her current textile and floral practice explores memory, repair, secular Buddhism, and the immigrant journey. This work is her interpretation of summer Obon festival and her revelatory discovery of root beer popsicles
