Meaty Ocher is actually Kat Keigher, a former gifted kid trying to unlearn perfectionism. By day she is a full-time parent and artist. By night, she transforms into her true self, an opossum, and roams the suburbs, unencumbered by capitalism, anxiety, or other human trifles. Kat loves making weird, colorful, subversive things, usually out of fiber, but sometimes just on Procreate. She enjoys crochet, knitting, embroidery, sewing, drawing, carving, painting, and sculpting, but not necessarily in that order. When not making art, Kat has two Master’s degrees that she never uses, and can usually be found volunteering for Yggdrasil Urban Wildlife Rescue, Oakland Animal Services, or her kids’ schools.
